Washington Commanders were out of their depth when the Philadelphia Eagles won 55-23 to win their second Super Bowl in three years.

Washington made a surprise run to win their first Super Bowl since 1992, but the team’s dream came to an end as a result of Philly’s crushing run game.

The Eagles led the NFL in the first quarter with two touchdowns from Saquon Barkley, who had already scored twice this season.

Philly led 27-15 at half-time, before Barkley and quarterback Jalen Hurts finished with three rushing touchdowns apiece.

Barkley had 118 rushing yards, with the Eagles having a total of 229 as they claimed the highest-ever score in the Conference Championships.

In the third quarter, Washington reduced the lead to 34-23 thanks to a touchdown from Jayden Daniels, who hoped to become the first rookie quarterback to win a championship.

But the Commanders ‘ hopes were hindered by four turnovers, with Philly punishing each one with a touchdown.

On Sunday, February 9, the Eagles will make their fifth Super Bowl appearance in New Orleans. The loss could be a rematch of the one they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs two years earlier.

Later in the AFC Championship game, the Chiefs will host the Buffalo Bills, continuing their quest for a third straight Super Bowl victory.

Commanders cannot halt Barkley

Barkley, who had the eighth-most rushing yards of all-time, was the subject of a lot of pre-game discussion.

He then had 324 from Philly’s first two games of the post-season and, after Washington opened the scoring with a field goal, Barkley took his team’s first play all the way to the end zone for a 60-yard touchdown.

After the Commanders’ first field goal and Terry McLaurin touchdown, the Commanders were unable to convert the team to two-point, so Barkley punched in another score after the opener.

Philly, the second seeds in the NFC Conference, stretched their lead with touchdowns by Hurts and AJ Brown, before Hurts ran in a nine-yard score in the third quarter.

At the start of the fourth quarter, Daniels immediately converted with a 10-yard touchdown run and the two-point conversion, but Washington’s hopes were ended by an Austin Ekeler fumble that led to Hurts’ third touchdown.
