On March 7 in London, Caroline Dubois will face Bo Mi Re Shin from South Korea to defend her WBC lightweight title.
Dubois, 24, will square off against Lauren Price in the Royal Albert Hall’s welterweight unification match.
Fans had hoped that Terri Harper, the Englishwoman, would face Shin, who is the WBC’s top female competitor, but Shin did not.
“I think she is going to be a tough challenge, but I believe I’m levels above”, Dubois said.
“I’m looking forward to being a part of such a fantastic show. Women’s boxing is rocking at the moment. It’s doing amazing.
” It’s proven time and time again that it’s here and it’s here to stay. “
Dubois has won eleven fights, despite losing to Jessica Camara in her first WBC fight prematurely last month.
Dubois still retained her belt despite the technical draw that followed the fight.
Shin, 30, has had two defeats and three draws in 23 bouts and has fought more frequently at super-featherweight.
She said, “I’ve been preparing for Caroline for two years since I first learned of a potential fight with her.” I will become world champion. “
