DSS Arrests Suspected ‘Notorious’ Gunrunner In Zamfara

A suspected gunrunner who had been tracked from the Niger Republic to Zamfara State has been apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS). &nbsp,

The suspect was presented to Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, at the Government House in Gusau on Tuesday evening.

Governor Lawal praised the DSS and other security organizations for their diligence and skill in locating and apprehending the suspect in a statement to the press following the presentation.

He emphasized the value of public support for preventing organized crime.

The suspect was closely tracked from the Niger Republic to Zamfara State, which highlights the effectiveness of cross-border intelligence collaboration, according to Governor Lawal.

Based on information about arms dealers operating in the Niger Republic, the operation also involved troops from the 1 Brigade of Joint Task Force Operation Hadarin Daji.
