Dawson’s Creek’s James Van Der Beek diagnosed with cancer but says ‘I’m feeling good’

James Van Der Beek, an actor, has been given a colorectal cancer diagnosis.

The 47-year-old Dawson’s Creek icon is married to business consultant Kimberly Brook since 2010 and he is that father of their six children. He shared the shock of his cancer diagnosis and how he has relied on his family to support him on Sunday.

He claimed he has been “privately dealing” with the diagnosis and is “resolving it” in a precautionary manner. The actor, who made his acting debut on screen in a 1993 episode of Clarissa Explains It All, has revealed his health news while stating that he feels “optimistic” about overcoming the illness.

Speaking to People, the actor revealed: “I have colorectal cancer. With the help of my incredible family, I’ve been dealing with this diagnosis in private and have been working to figure out how to deal with it. Sharing his upbeat approach to his health, he added: “There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good”.

The colon and rectum are both covered by the term “colon cancer,” which describes bowel cancer that can develop and spread in the large bowel. One of the most prevalent types of cancer in the UK is caused by bowel cancer, which can be detected by bowel cancer screening, and is one of the simplest cancer types to treat if detected early.

The NHS records signs of poo, including softer poo, diarrhoea or constipation that is not typical for you, red or black poo, a need to poo even if you’ve just used the restroom, and other signs like tummy pain, bloating, and unanticipated weight loss.

In a recent social media post, James revealed that he and his wife had enjoyed trick or treating with their six children, Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia, Gwendolyn and Jeremiah. Sharing posts of his family in Halloween outfits, he wrote: “I made all my own costumes growing up. Didn’t really have a choice. But I adored it. Should have been my parents’ first sign that I would end up acting.

” But in a SPIRIT HALLOWEEN world… my six year-old was devastated that her angel costume would not arrive in time for trick-or-treating. She accepted the tears and began working on the project of wrapping yellow yarn around some garden wire for HOURS. in a way that was unimaginable. And for me, this was my favorite Halloween moment, seeing her face proudly showing off the finished product in the mirror.

James has since started acting in movies and TV shows as the titular Dawson Leery from the well-known teen drama Dawson’s Creek. Michelle Williams, Katie Holmes, the actress who plays Batman, and Joshua Jackson, both of whom were also acquired by the show.
