Australian cricketer David Warner is clearly missing his wife Candice and their three girls – Ivy Mae, six, Indi Rae, five, and Isla, one
On Sunday, David shared a gallery of photos of himself at the beach with his wife and the girls as the family enjoyed some fun in the sun.
The throwback images showed David looking every inch the fun-loving father as he posed next to the girls while peering out at the ocean.
‘Nothing beats beach and family,’ David captioned one of the photos of him standing next to Ivy.
David showed another photo of him looking out to the ocean while standing with his daughters on a rock.
‘Ask your mum how to go about tackling those things,’ referring to Candice’s past as an Ironwoman.
Yet more images showed little Indi on mother Candice’s back, with the youngster pulling a face to the camera.
‘When daddy says I love you darling,’ he captioned the photo.
David was stuck in Covid-ravaged India, before being flown to the Maldives.
The athlete was caught in the position of not being able to return to Australia due to borders slamming shut on India due to the Covid outbreak.
At the height of the outbreak, the country was recording 400,000 new Covid cases per day.
David, who was playing in the Indian Premier League, recently shared a heartbreaking message from his girls begging their dad to come home.
He uploaded a poignant drawing of his young family with a handwritten note from his eldest daughter, Ivy Mae, to Instagram.
‘Please daddy come home straight away. We miss you a lot and love you. Love from Ivy, Indi and Isla,’ the six-year-old wrote.
The note also included a drawing of the family surrounded by red love hearts.
‘My gorgeous Ivy. So much love ‘ Warner captioned the note.
