After losing a “great friend,” James Jordan has been left grieving.

The dancer, who found fame on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing took to social media to share the shattering news, before revealing that he and a group of friends had gathered, virtually, to celebrate the life of Andy. On Instagram, the former Dancing On Ice contestant wrote, “On Saturday, I lost a great friend. He was a legend in our dance world but more importantly, a legend as a friend.” He touched the hearts of so many people who knew him, and I have many fond memories of our time together.

A group of us raised a glass and exchanged stories last night when we received calls from all over the world, including Hong Kong, Australia, Ireland, and England. Many will miss him, but RIP Andy. A group of James and his pals were caught on camera talking to one another while holding drinks in honor of a friend in a later photo.

As the seven men gathered at their desks and posed with a drink in bed as they all gathered, James was seen in his home, while his friends gathered at their desks. James’ emotional update comes shortly after he revealed to the Mirror that a change on Dancing On Ice will “mix things up.”

He stated, “I know Dancing on Ice has a new producer this year, who I’ve worked with before, and I know he’s very good at what he does, so I’d assume he’s got a lot of things lined up to mix things up a little.” A number of brand-new celebrities will take to the ice in this series to try their luck at getting their hands on the trophy. Ferne McCann, Mollie Pearce, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sam Aston, Charlie Brooks, Josh Jones, Anton Ferdinand, Chelsee Healey, Dan Edgar, Chris Taylor and Michaela Strachan make up this year’s line-up.

And James has already stated his opinion on who he believes will succeed and who might struggle, despite the fact that we have yet to see them demonstrate their newly acquired skating prowess. He said, “I do think age plays a significant role in fear. When you’re younger, you’re a bit more fearless, whereas when you’re slightly older you’re constantly thinking that you”re going to break a bone if you fall. When I fell, I suffered a bad injury, just like I did when I was watching Wes Nelson in my early 20s when he fell.

“This is why when I am looking at this year’s contestants, I kind of rule out some of the older ones from winning. It’s much easier for the younger ones because they’re more fearless”.
