James Jordan has revealed what he thinks about the judges’ scores so far on Dancing on Ice.
The former Strictly Come Dancing star is well-versed in the program, having won it with Alexandra Schauman in 2019.
Following their victory, the 46-year-old was also rumoured to land a role as a judge on the show after John Barrowman’s exit, however, it was Oti Mabuse who stepped into his shoes.
Sharing his thoughts on the contestants, James revealed he is particularly impressed with this year’s oldest contestant Michaela Strachan, 58, so far.
He shared: “Michaela is the front runner. With Sam]Aston] and Molly]Lanaghan] – as much as I love them – you can’t compare the quality of dancing and skating ability, compared to what Michaela has. That’s the public’s job”.
James continued, claiming that if he had been one of the judges, Sam and Michaela’s scores would have increased.
On the judges Oti, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean’s scores, he added, in association with Sky Vegas: “There’s a discrepancy in what I’ve seen, as a pro and someone who has done the show.
” The level of ability of Michaela exceeds. It]Sam’s skating] was fun and his skating was actually really good – he looks quite natural. Although he is a front-runner, Michaela had a bad reputation, and the public is going to like him.
For her Beauty and the Beast themed dance, many viewers claimed last week that The Traitors’ Molly had received a 30 score. James however doesn’t believe this is the case.
” She needs to keep doing what she’s doing because at the moment, they]the judges] are definitely not overmarking her, “he added.
” She’s going out there and producing beautiful routines. Her skating looks good and she’s able to skate on her own – she’s got bags of potential. She’s only scratching the surface; she occasionally feels rushed, but she does a fantastic job.
Mollie and Michaela are James’ “top two favorites so far,” he continued, “and I’d love to see either of them win.”
” This is the first year at this stage where I thought that two of the standout people are both females, which is amazing, “he added.
It has been 12 years since a female winner, and I wanted to see a female winner.
Fern McCann left the competition last weekend after receiving the least number of votes.
Tonight at 6:25 p.m. on ITV, Dancing On Ice will continue.
