Couple Escapes Death As Container Falls On Vehicle In Lagos

At the Toyota bus stop on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway on Wednesday, a couple managed to escape death after a container fell on their Lexus Jeep.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service’s Director, Margaret Adeseye, stated in a statement on Thursday that the incident took place following a distress call.

The incident, according to her, happened after the container unintentionally fell on the backseat of the car.

Later, they were recovered from the wreckage of their car.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service saved a male adult who was 45 years old and a female adult who was 37 years old from an accident involving a Mack trailer and a Lexus Jeep 350 with registration number EKY 251 HW, respectively, from the jaw of death.

At about 18:35 hours on Wednesday, a Toyota bus stop on the Apapa—Oshodi Expressway inward Isolo, Lagos, had an accident where one of the containers accidentally fell onto the backseat, causing sympathisers to rush to their aid before firefighters worked together to save them from the accident unharmed.

Adeseye added that the trailer driver, who also managed to escape unscathed and was being treated for trauma therapy, also attended to both victims.
