Confusion As Anyanwu, Okoye’s Supporters Clash At PDP BoT Meeting

At the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja on Wednesday, there was a at the board of directors’ meeting of the party’s board of trustees’ clashed between supporters of Udeh Okoye and Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s embattled national secretary, and Udeh Okoye, who is also claiming office of the party’s national secretary.

The BoT meeting was presided over by the chairman, Adolphus Wabara, and it was attended by other prominent members including the acting national chairman of the party, Umar Damagun, ex-Niger governor, Babangida Aliyu, ex-Kaduna governor, Ahmed Markafi, and ex-Jigawa governor, Sule Lamido.

The PDP National Working Committee has been divided into two groups because the BoT, as the party’s conscience, convened the meeting to address the national secretary’s issue.

However, the BoT meeting was stymied by verbal altercations between the camps’ antagonists.

Since then, the Department of State Services’ and Department of State Services’ officers have been more frequently seen at the Wadata Plaza.
