Coleen Rooney claims that her relationship with Wayne has changed since I’m a Celebrity, which has changed everything.

After he left as manager of struggling Plymouth Argyle, football legend Wayne continues to support his wife Coleen through the humiliating Wagatha Christie trial. Coleen, 38, rose to fame as a household name and is set to win her own TV shows.

The mum-of-four’s down-to-earth nature and love for her family helped her win millions of votes and second place. She said: “Life throws different things at you. I managed to get through my marriage, which has been a major issue in the press. People are so opinionated, but I’ve always thought that it’s my life, so let me get on with it – it’s got nothing to do with anyone else.

” The whole court case, everyone had a different opinion. I recently entered the jungle, which was a different challenge for me, but since then, so many people have come up to me and said they understand my life. I’ve always had a tough personality, but I’m not a princess. I’ve always worked through it. I wouldn’t say I could tackle the world now though.

“We]Wayne and I] have helped each other – we’ve gone through everything together. People have hated him, and it’s difficult because he’s out there every week, which is probably why he’s struggled more than I do. He informed me that he was constantly receiving chants about me while I was in the jungle.

” I grew with Wayne Rooney, from him going from just being a player to this big superstar. We’ve gone through it together. “Her and Wayne are parents to their four beloved boys, Kai, 15, and Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six. And while she was away in the wild, Colette and Coleen’s two youngest siblings flew to Australia to help her.

Coleen told the Stick to Football podcast:” The impact from I’m A Celeb has been massive. Although I was aware that it was a big show, I didn’t anticipate that many viewers would be interested in me. In the past, I’ve done things, but the majority of people have only taken my personality and bits and pieces and not seen me as a person. People forget that we are just regular people because of our public image. It has been a while since I first started being in the public eye when I was 16 years old. It’s been so nice and positive]the reaction from the show].

Wayne was recently let go from Plymouth Argyle
Wayne recently left Plymouth Argyle (Getty Images) for another position.

“When my mum come into the jungle I said to her, ‘ Am I dead boring? ‘ In comparison to everyone else, I thought I was utterly uninteresting. I’m glad I did it because it was a journey I’ll never forget, but I’m glad I did. I’ve met people]in the jungle] that I’ll keep in contact with – the group chat is going off all the time”.

After leaving Plymouth Argyle by mutual agreement on December 31st, Coleen will need to be there for Wayne at the moment. But he was with her when the Wagatha Christie trial was taking place. Through her detective work, which exposed rival WAG Rebekah Vardy as the author of the Rooney family’s leaked stories to a newspaper, Coleen earned the nickname. Vardy lost the case in court after suing Coleen for libel. The legal battle

When Coleen recalls the strain it placed on them and their relationship, Coleen said, “I had no control over it, and that was difficult. I was aware that my statement was accurate, but it was difficult for me to deny that it was true when someone else tried to sue me and forced me to prove it. I couldn’t get away from it because it was so long. Every day, I’d wake up and think ‘ Coleen, just get on with your day ‘ – but it kept creeping back in all the time. Every Friday, the lawyers call me because I felt like I wasn’t myself and was snappy because they try to ruin your weekend by calling at the last minute on Friday.

” They’d tell me what’s going on and then to try and have a nice weekend. I’d leave and start overreacting and looking for the things he’s asking for. When Wayne would eventually say, “I’m going to bed,” he would wait on the couch to watch something until 2 a.m. It put a strain on family life, friends – I wasn’t sociable, and it stripped me. “

There were some lighter moments in the podcast when Coleen described how Wayne once ran into trouble by blowing up her hairdryer while attempting to sleep. As a result of previous discussions, Wayne has previously mentioned how he occasionally uses a hairdryer to relax after listening to soothing music.

Coleen said:” It’s a fan when I’m in the bed, but if not, it is a hairdryer. If I get up, if he’s still in bed I hear him get a hairdryer. Has he told you that it’s caught on fire before? Although the hairdryer is cool, it accidentally turned hot because he was cold at the time! She also described how organized she is, and how her boys are so boisterous that they have a rota for everything.

She said:” It’s madness, it’s just mayhem all the time. We have a rota of who gets to sit at the front]of the car] going to school. Even though there is a rota, it’s just mayhem every morning. They simply torment one another, creating a “diabolo effect.” It’s a lively house but it’s funny because everyone loves coming to our house, because it’s just entertaining. I grew up with two brothers, so I’m used to being around boys. I quite like the boys. I believe Wayne and I would have fought over a girl, and we both would have liked each other! Boys just get on with it and girls are more emotional. “

And while Wayne’s sons are subject to assault on the football field because their hero’s father was a player, Wayne also experienced abuse when Coleen was a child. Coleen said:” A few years ago, I remember my son Kai took a penalty at St George’s Park, where we were for a tournament. It went to penalties, Kai stepped up and just skied it. After that, I asked him how he could take a penalty like that, and he responded that the goalkeeper was just fuming and that he was dead in rage. It doesn’t happen to him very often, but it did then, and you can see in some games where they give you a little push. He’s strong-minded though and usually shrugs it off. “
