According to their general manager Brett Veach, the Kansas City Chiefs anticipate tight end Travis Kelce’s contract will run out in the end of that year.

After the Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, Kelce, 35, said he was considering retiring.

Veach claimed there was “no deadline” for Kelce to decide whether he will play in the 2025 season. The three-time Super Bowl champion has one more year left on his contract.

Before the Chiefs’ off-season, Veach spoke with Kelce, the player telling him he was “fired up about being here.”

“He has one more year under contract”, Veach added. He would be back, and we’re relieved to have him back. As far as I’m concerned, there is no deadline”.

Kelce was given four receptions for 39 yards earlier this month by the Eagles, who had already played in five of their previous six Super Bowls.

Head coach Andy Reid remarked, “We did have a chance to talk before they left.” “That’s up to Travis.

” At this point, it’s ‘ get out of town. They’ve played a lot of football here. So step back, then we’ll talk’. “

From 2016 to 2016, Kelce has received more than 1, 000 receiving yards.

He made 97 receptions for 823 yards during the 2024 regular season, his lowest yardage total since 2014.
