Following the tragedy, actress Chelsee Healey admitted that she had a miscarriage after signing up for Dancing on Ice.

Chelsee, 36, made her ITV show debut in the first episode of the new series three weeks ago and was announced as a member of the lineup for the most recent ITV show season. Andy Buchanan, a professional skater, and her partner.

However, they eventually won the ice-skating contest as the first pair to be chosen for a spot. At the time, Chelsea, who is well known for her roles on Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road, said: “Personally, there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with so I couldn’t completely concentrate.” I’m just really grateful. I had the best time”.

She has now admitted to having had a miscarriage while competing with the show and shared some details with her Instagram followers. Chelsee said that she feels “blessed” to already be a parent to daughters Coco, seven, and Cookie, one, but the “grief still feels enormous”.

Alongside a photo of her beside her kids, she wrote on Thursday: “TRIGGER WARNING. I apologize if this aggravates anyone, but I’m hoping it will comfort those who need it. I want to say thank you to everyone who helped me during DOI, especially my family, ITV, and my skate partner Andy.

” I haven’t been able to talk about this until now, because it’s been too painful. I hope that other women going through the same situation can benefit from my sharing it now. Been so anxious to post. We were shocked to learn that I was pregnant despite our commitment to DOI and the demanding training schedule. I miscarried before my family and I could let this news soak in and digest it for a few weeks after learning this news.

Finding out this news and having it taken in such a short amount of time is an awful lot to deal with, according to “Understandably this really did devastate me and hit me deeply. Although I am beyond blessed to have two gorgeous daughters, the pain is still great. I’m grieving for the sibling my girls will never meet and the little soul I carried in transit. The child who will never forget the “what ifs” will forever make me enthralled. And it is painful”.

Chelsee added: “I thought I could just carry on but anyone who knows me, knew I wasn’t right. Some emotions you can store in a box and move on. This hurts differently and I can’t just move on, not yet anyway. I believe that allowing myself to experience all the emotions and sadness for what won’t be is what I should be doing. There is no shame in that”.

She concluded: “For any woman going through something similar. I truly feel your pain, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to feel and express your feelings. I hope you are able to navigate this. Our hearts should be devoted to the heavenly children. A gentle reminder that we never know what other people are going through or how their suffering might affect them. To all of you, I am sending my love”.

On the platform, her followers have shared condolences and encouraging messages about the post. Helen Flanagan wrote: “So sorry Chelsee. Sending you so much love”. Whilst Gemma Atkinson commented: “No shame at all. I’m sending you all a lot of love.
