Charlotte Crosby, reality TV star turned entrepreneur, is just days away from welcoming her second baby, and she’s not sugar-coating how tough this pregnancy has been.

The 34-year-old, who is expecting another baby girl with fiancé Jake Ankers, is having a rough ride in her final trimester. When we catch up on a video call, she says, “I’m just surviving at this point.”

“I’m so ready to have this baby now. I can’t wait. I’ve been throwing up all morning! Up until the day my first child arrived, I was still ill, and it’s the same now. I actually hadn’t been sick for about three weeks, and I thought it was over – but then, wow, this morning it hit me like a ton of bricks”.

Despite the challenges, Charlotte, mum to two-year-old Alba, is powering through. “Honestly, there’s nothing harder than being pregnant with a toddler. Moms deserve medals for this, because it should be an Olympic sport.

In a video posted on Instagram earlier this month, Charlotte and Jake, both 34, made the announcement that they would be parents once more. Before displaying her bump and sonogram photo, the clip ends with her and her fiance and her boyfriend, Alba. When they blew up smoke cannons while on vacation in the Maldives, wrapping them in pink clouds to represent a girl, the gender of the baby was revealed a few seconds later.

And, while it was a beautiful moment, Charlotte says Jake didn’t take the gender news as you might expect. “He wanted a boy so bad”, she says. “I don’t want to ruin his reaction – because it was a big one, but we’re filming a TV show at the minute and we filmed the whole gender reveal, so I don’t want to give too much away, but he was devastated. Now, he’s come round to the idea, so it’s all good”.

And Alba will be delighted with the new addition, too, she says. “I think Alba’s going to be such a good big sister”, Charlotte smiles. “She’s so mothering. She enjoys putting on their blankets and pushing babies in their prams. She even gives them their dummies! I just hope she doesn’t feel jealous when the new baby arrives. Everyone says to make it all about Alba – like, say to her, ‘ This is your baby. ‘ Include her in everything”.

Charlotte is letting birth records know about her birth.

And Charlotte is just about to have her first child via planned C-section. “I had a C-section with Alba, and it was such a good experience. I like to be in control – especially after my ectopic pregnancy]in 2016]. After having that operation, I was told I almost died and lost two of my reproductive organs. Never do I want to relearn how I used to be. I would always choose a C-section because it is too painful for me to push a baby out of my vagina.

Career-wise, she is returning to her TV roots and filming a new reality TV show, Geordie Shore: Charlotte’s Having Another Baby, which continues to document her life as a mum – hot on the heels of Charlotte In Sunderland. The cameras are following her pregnancy journey through every step of the way, which is true.

“The cameras will be there for the birth, just like with Alba”, Charlotte reveals. “It was actually really enjoyable the first time.” We had a playlist”.

On Geordie Shore, Charlotte was a star.

She left Geordie Shore in 2011 as a first-time cast member and now lives a far cry from her partying lifestyle. Gone are the days of “getting mortal” and late night kebabs. Reflecting on how she’s evolved, she says, “I’ve grown so much. I’m not interested in going clubbing all night. In front of a DJ, I’d prefer not to stand. It’s just not me, I’m not in that phase of my life. I may be in my fifties at the time of a midlife crisis, but not right now. When I go out, I want to chat up with my closest friends in a nice restaurant with good music.

Charlotte is currently concentrating on raising a family and surviving the chaos of motherhood. She’s also proud to champion her hometown of Sunderland in the North East for Rightmove’s Selling Sunderland campaign video, a playful nod to Netflix ‘ s property-reality show Selling Sunset.

“I’ve always said how funny it would be to do a property show in Sunderland”, Charlotte grins. “When Rightmove approached me, it was like we were on the same wavelength”.

Describing her city and the surrounding area, Charlotte says, “Not only does it have the coastlines, the sea, the sand, the sex, it also has glorious landscapes, countryside, fields, trees, rolling hills, beautiful national parks, monuments that you feel like you would stumble across in Rome.

” There’s so much to do. Ideal for morning walks with the dogs and kids. Plus, there are loads of exciting developments, like a new film studio on the River Wear. Tom Cruise could be walking through Sheepfolds Stables]shopping and events centre] any day now! “
