In some jaw-dropping images, a CBBC child star appears unrecognizable from his time on the kids TV channel.

Percelle Ascott, now 31, made his TV debut as Benny Sherwood in sci-fi smash hit, Wizards vs Aliens, which ran from 2012 until 2014. Following the success of the show, Percelle went onto star in Doctor Who, Netflix’s I Came By, BBC Series, Domino Day, and will next appear in I, Jack Wright.

He looks a lot like he did when he first appeared on the show when he was just a teenager and has since come a long way in terms of career. The actor, who was standing next to an aquamarine sea in a recent photo, shows off his ripped physique and forearm tattoo in place of his tightly trimmed hair on the CBBC smash-hit, sporting long dreads in place of his tightly trimmed hair.

Percelle can be seen on the red carpet in another scene, sporting a stylish floral shirt and black pants outside the Royal Festival Hall in London. He appears to be a huge departure from the bespectacled Benny he portrayed in Wizards Vs Aliens. The actor is now also a proud father and welcomed daughter, Zuri, with his partner last year. In an adorable family snap, the actor holds little Zuri, alongside her mum, who, like, Percelle, is grinning with delight next to the bundle of joy.

Percelle continued to pursue a successful career after Wizards v. Aliens ended, where she appeared last year as the lead character in the supernatural suspense thriller Domino Day. He stated in an interview with Vingt Sept Magazine that he was finding himself working on some incredible projects, including sci-fi, from Doctor Who and other titles, before working with the Domino team.

” I play a character called Leon, and the show is about Domino, of course, we follow her in this world and see how she navigates it, but the twist is that she’s a witch.

“Domino is trying to be an ordinary girl while dealing with all the bad things that come with being a witch.” So yeah, I’m looking forward to when it comes out”.

Percelle was born in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, and when he was three, moved to England with his family to raise him in Penge, South London. At the age of 11, he first discovered acting through a Jungle Book production in his home. At the age of 16, his high school drama teacher assisted him in enrolling in the BRIT School.

Along with Sorcha Groundsell and Guy Pearce, he appeared in the 2018 Netflix supernatural series The Innocents. He made an appearance on Doctor Who’s The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos the same year. In series three of the Sky Atlantic police procedural Tin Star, he also appeared as Cleveland in Julian Kostov’s The Dare and Jesse.

Chris Lang’s later this year-to-be-created British family drama television series I, Jack Wright, which includes Percelle. He will star alongside John Simm, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Daniel Rigby and Trevor Eve.
