No Plan To Arrest Utomi, Shadow Govt Promoters — DSS

A group led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for president in 2007 has proposed the shadow government to the Department of State Services (DSS), but lead counsel Akinlolu Kehinde, Akinlolu Kehinde, the agency’s lead counsel, has stated that the agency is not interested in arresting anyone over the proposed shadow government.

The senior lawyer made the declaration on Wednesday, shortly after filing a new complaint with the Federal High Court in Abuja asking for an interlocutory injunction to stop Utomi from making any public statements or speaking at rallies in connection with his pending lawsuit against him for his alleged plans to create a shadow government.

Our client, according to Kehinde, who spoke with journalists, is not interested in questioning anyone because it has self-declared to the honorable court to interpret the Constitution and determine whether the “shadow government” or any other nomenclature is legitimate.

It should be noted that our client is a very civilized organization with complete confidence in the rule of law under its current leadership, which is why its leadership or any of its employees will always go before the court of justice whenever they believe there is a breach of one of its statutory duties or the rights of its employees, as evidenced by the SERAP case that some of its employees have brought against them is being violated. The court should have final say.

“Gentlemen, we must all work together to ensure Nigeria’s constitutional democracy and the rule of law.

It is a good thing that Pat Utomi and his group’s “Should Government” case is being watched over by members of the fourth estate of the realm.

The State Security Service (SSS) filed the civil lawsuit in accordance with its statutory duty to maintain internal tranquility and prevent any acts of treason against the nation’s democratically elected government, as you may be aware.

We have just filed an application as the SSS’s counsel to obtain an interim injunction against the defendant and his group pending the outcome of the substantive lawsuit.

The application can be obtained from the Honourable Court’s registry because it is a public document.

The defendant has continued to make inflammatory statements capable of igniting chaos in the country, he continued, “The application is predicated on the fact that the defendant has continued to make inflammatory statements capable of causing chaos in the country despite the pendency of the substantive action, the service of same on the defendant, and the entry of appearance to same by his attorney, Mike Ozekhome, SAN, SAN.”

What our client has submitted to the court is for the interpretation of the Constitution, according to Kneideau, who questioned whether any form of government could be created or permitted by statute other than the Constitution.

The new application seeks primarily an “interlocutory injunction” to prevent the defendant/respondent (Utomi), his agents, privies, associates, employees, or any other person acting through him from holding public events, rallies, speeches, public lectures, television programs, jingles, or any other public enlightenment program(s) intended to sensibilize, instigate, spread, or in any way promote the alleged “shadow government/shadow cabinet” or its goals with the
