He continued, “The troops pursued the fleeing terrorists relentlessly, including those who were trying to escape by crossing a river.”

Following extensive mop-up operations, the troop was able to successfully seize a number of hostile items, including a pump-action rifle, 21 AK-47 magazines, and 17 Motorola Communication (MC) radios.

Governor Dikko Radda praised the soldiers’ unwavering commitment, bravery, and professionalism while speaking at the State House.

The case was reportedly the result of an Abuja-based international businessman’s report filed in July 2023 that Muhammad defrauded under the false pretense of being a shipping agent, according to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in Abuja.

“Muhammed misrepresented himself to the complainant, leading to the signing of a contract to facilitate the movement of ten high-end vehicles, valued at $307,500.00, between the UAE and Nigeria, through designated registered shipping companies,” according to investigations.

“Muhammed received the entire payment through a third-party account at FCMB owned by Kano resident Anas Usaini, who had established trust, which was later used for money laundering in Dubai.

“Muhammed gave the complainant a forged bill of lading for the vehicles upon receipt of the payment, which the complainant later ceased to contact.” He was detained in Dubai on April 15, 2025, and has since been extradited to Nigeria to face federal court charges, Adejobi said in the statement. “This is a significant success in the fight against transnational financial crime.

The “Flow with Confidence” initiative will give 10, 000 packs of sanitary pads to young girls, especially those in rural communities, in the area of education. Senator Tinubu was quoted as saying in a statement from Kwapchi Bata Hamman, the Special Assistant to the President, Media and ICT, (Office of the Vice President), on Saturday, that this initiative aims to keep girls in school all the way through their menstrual cycle.

She reaffirmed the President’s commitment to expanding the RHI Food Outreach Scheme and empowering the nation’s most vulnerable populations.

She confirmed that the program, which first launched on March 8, 2024, would continue to provide essential food to marginalized communities and women in the country.

She urged the recipients to use these items for the benefit of their families as I give them these essential food items, as I do with Abia State and the RHI state coordinator. FG To Sell 753 Duplexes Confiscated From Emefiele To Nigerians

The Federal Government has announced that it will sell the 753 housing units that were taken from the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to Nigerians.

The development was revealed in a statement from the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, when Olanipekun Olukoyede, the president of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Ahmed Dangiwa, the minister of housing and urban development, led a joint team conducting a physical site inspection of the ceased housing estate.

Following President Bola Tinubu’s directive, the estate, which was previously associated with Emefiele, was recovered by the EFCC in December of this year.

Dangiwa stated during the inspection that the Ministry would begin its technical assessments by conducting building integrity checks right away.

The Renewed Hope Portal, which is already operational, will be used to sell the structures once they are successful evaluations and finished.

The Minister urged people in public offices to abstain from corrupt practices while highlighting the federal government’s commitment to accountability and transparency.

He praised the EFCC and its leadership for what he described as a landmark recovery, one of the most significant in the country’s history in such a short period of time, while praising the “government of the day” for its “serious approach to combating corruption.”

Dangiwa also urged Nigerians to maintain their faith in the EFCC and support its efforts to increase public support for public good.

Chairman Olukoyede clarified at the event that what Nigerians had previously seen on television was merely an aerial view of the estate.

He said, “The purpose of this visit is to demonstrate that it is real,” which highlights the commission’s commitment to transparency and accountability.

The EFCC claims that this is the largest asset recovery since the organization’s founding in 2003. Duplexes and other apartment types are included in the over 150 000 square meters.

Following Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie’s final forfeiture order issued on December 2, 2024, the Abuja High Court’s Federal Capital Territory High Court recovered the estate.

Emefiele contacted the FCT High Court in April 2025 to request reclaiming the estate, which had already been seized by the government.

Despite frequent exchanges with the agency regarding other pending charges, he claimed that the EFCC had intentionally kept the forfeiture proceedings a secret from him.
