Wicked fans call out Ariana Grande’s ‘distracting’ beauty blunder in blockbuster sequel

Fans left screenings of the second instalment of Wicked gushing about being “distracted” by Arianna Grande’s major beauty blunder, but Arianna Grande reprised her role in the second instalment.

Ariana Grande returned for an Oscar-worthy performance as Glinda The Good in Wicked: For Good, the second and final instalment to the Wicked saga which started with part one last year.

The film’s enormous success earned it record-breaking box office receipts, cementing its position as one of the most popular musical adaptations.

The greatest gift of my life was being asked to join this most amazing group of people on a most creatively and emotionally fulfilling journey, wrote Ariana in a heartfelt letter in response. More than anyone else has taught me about Glinda.

But amid the praise, the same complaints have landed on social media since Wicked: For Good’s debut on Friday 21 November. One disgrunted fan took to TikTok in a video that has garnered over eight million views to ask: “Who is responsible for Ariana Grande’s strip lashes?!”

Fans couldn’t help but agree in the comments, with one saying, “Wood couldn’t do better than this, and the budget for wicked was 145 MILLION”?

Another actress claimed that her lashes caused her to lose focus, saying, “I could not pay attention because the strip lashes were THAT problematic.” Couldn’t we at least have employed a tech for this? “?

Some critics, however, responded to Ariana’s Glinda makeup, with one revolving the camera’s attention. The user typed “I can’t believe people have vexed about this…like did you actually care about the movie?”

Others claimed that Glinda’s real character was influenced by her makeup, which she was not at all good at.

Isn’t that at the core of the point, then? One argumentation was made, and another added, “I kinda like that not everything has to be ‘perfect’.'” Glinda is all about the performance from a distance.

For Good’s many fans believed Ariana had created her own makeup. The changes in Glinda’s makeup were explained by Frances Hannon, an award-winning makeup, hair, and prosthetics artist who worked on both films.

“One of the changes that we chose going from Wicked 1 and Wicked: For Good was that we didn’t change her foundation or her eyeshadow but we framed her eyes much stronger within the density in the lashes and the stronger [lash] line,” she told @illumin_arty.

She continued, “Ari has really strong eyes, which really gave her a different quality. She matured, not it, but it did, in my opinion.

Unrecognisable ‘Fish and Rice Cakes Guy’ reveals why women wouldn’t date him after meme

When Danny Andrews, 35, described his fish and rice diet in the 2007 film Baby Faced Body Builders, he became a legendary meme as a teenager.

A bodybuilder who became an overnight meme after describing his “fish and rice cakes” diet in a viral video has described the brutal impact his fame initially had.

Danny Andrews, now 35, was taking part in the 2007 documentary Baby Faced Body Builders for BBC Three when he unwittingly became an online star.

In a clip that has since received millions of views, the then 16-year-old revealed how he developed muscle and how he gained weight, telling the camera at 10 o’clock in the morning, “Ill have fish and a rice cake… at 12… fish and a rice cake.”

Dany, who was born and raised in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, owns his own barbershop in Preston, Lancs. He’s even launched a brand of protein rice cakes in recent years.

Describing how the documentary unfolded, Danny told YouTube show People are Deep: “Instead of just saying I eat six meals of fish and every other it’s with a rice cake, I just did exactly what they said.

Additionally, I had already carried out the diet on my own, which was successful. And it wasn’t my diet for the rest of my life; it was actually two to three weeks. You would consume carbohydrate, remove all the glycogen from your muscles, eat it up for two days, and then fill up. ”

Dinny revealed that he only incorporates fish in his diet because it contains fewer calories than turkey or chicken and doesn’t even like it.

People yelled “fish boy” at Danny as they passed him after the video was released, and he was even the subject of hateful bullying at parties when he was in his late teens.

He claimed that there would be a lot of young people sniggering at me and showing videos at house parties, and that it sounded like bullying. And when I left the party, everyone would make fun of me because I still looked the same, spoke the same, and was still there.

I have a fairly large Northern accent. I have thick skin, and I am aware that if I put myself out there, I am aware that someone will say something. ”

The meme even would turn off women, which is depressing for Danny. After realizing he was the “Fish and Rice Cakes Guy,” he claimed that they would stop texting during the conversation.

Danny thinks it was because the video was the only instance in which they ever made of him and that his teammates were forced to stand up for him.

Danny and the Wealdstone Raider first met in 2021, and they soon became popular online in 2013 after a video of him fighting with an opponent fan at his hometown Wealdstone FC went viral.

Danny is now “milking it for everything it’s worth,” having learned to embrace fame and laugh along with his fans after the interview.

He’s appeared on several TV dating shows such as First Dates, Celebs Go Dating and most recently Channel 4’s Love Triangle, where he met 29-year-old Bristol-based social media manager Sadie Bass.

He stated, “I went on Love Triangle to promote the rice cakes and take a vacation there. I never imagined meeting the person of my life there, but Sadie is undoubtedly my soul mate, and I’m so happy that we’ve accepted the meme.

Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson hold hands in rare public appearance

Zara McDermott first gained notoriety on Love Island and had a relationship with Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson. She is now dating Louis Tomlinson, a former One Direction singer.

Zara McDermott and her boyfriend Louis Tomlinson made a rare public appearance together last weekend. The pair held hands together at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The One Direction star gave his stylish girlfriend an run for her money by turning up in a shiny silver tracksuit with eye-catching red piping. He paired the outfit with silver trainers and circular sun glasses made by Ray Ban.

In a tailored dark blue denim suit, Zara looked a little more formal. Although the shirt had wide sleeves and a bottom that popped out, darts at the waist made it fit. Her wide-legging jeans almost obscured the black pointed toe heels she was wearing on her feet. Zara added a cute detail by matching Louis’ tracksuit’s piping to Zara’s red nails.

The pair attended the event in Paradise, Nevada. They were joined by celebrity guests including, Beyonce, Cynthia Erivo, Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas.

As they watched, Max Verstappen sped to a victory, whilst UK favourite Lewis Hamilton finished at a crushingly low spot of 10th place. He would have finished lower, but Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were both disqualified as their cars failed to reach minimum skid wear measurments. McClaren had to apologise to Norris and Piastri, who would ahve finished second and fourth respectively if they hadn’t been disqualified.

Prior to the Grand Prix, Louis performed on stage. The star was in One Direction for years after the band was the runaway success from their series of The X Factor in 2010. Their popularity, particularly in America, was likened to Beatlemania.

Since splitting up in 2016, Louis has since released two solo albums, including one that reached the top of the UK Official Charts. He is scheduled to release a second album, How Did I Get Here?, in January.

He and Zara have been in a relationship since early 2025. Their relationship was made public in August via a social media post. Zara is thought to have moved into his north London home, after leaving the Fulham residence she shared with ex-boyfriend Sam Thompson. The couple split in December 2024.

There were rumors that their breakup was difficult, but a source told the Daily Mail that it wasn’t: “There hasn’t been any scandal or fallout between them; it’s just the result of a difficult year where they both had to spend a lot of time focusing on their own projects.”

Louis has previously tried to keep his relationships low-key, but did open up about some of his past girlfriends. In 2011, he started dating Eleanor Calder, and the pair were together for four years before breaking up in 2015. They rekindled their romance in 2017, and Louis told The Sun that he wanted to marry her. He said: “If you’re asking me if I’m going to marry her? Yes, I think so!”

Queen’s Brian May opens up on ‘very bad situation’ and debt struggles behind the scenes

Brian May reflected on how the song marked a pivotal moment in the band’s career as it marked the 50th anniversary of Queen’s chart-topping hit Bohemian Rhapsody.

Bohemian Rhapsody, one of the band’s most popular anthems, has a surprising influence, according to legendary Queen legend Brian May. After dominating the charts for a remarkable nine weeks in 1975, the song now celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The group simply expressed the hope that it would be a “nice track” for their record A Night At The Opera when it was released in a time of financial hardship and soaring inflation. It spurred a dramatic change for the band, and it continues to be regarded as one of their most significant successes to this day.

The anthem’s operatic passages, rock ballad elements, and guitar solo, which were all composed by their late frontman Freddie Mercury, set it apart from their other works. Looking back on the masterpiece, Brian said, “We thought, This is going to be a nice track for our new album, which hopefully is going to save us, because we’re seriously in debt and in a very bad situation with regard to management.”

Roger Taylor, his bandmate, said, “We certainly weren’t thinking in terms of number one; we just thought it was the album’s best song. The most intriguing, unusual thing ever happened.

The song, according to Brian, 78, may have resonated with listeners because it conveyed a message during a time when Britain was hailed as “the sick man of Europe.” The phrase was used to describe the country’s financial problems and workplace disruptions at the time.

The guitarist continued, “Music can really save you and lift your spirits when times are difficult.” “I’ve received so many letters over the years saying that one of our songs has helped people overcome depression and find a new purpose.”

Nobody really knows where Bohemian Rhapsody came from, so perhaps the right time was right for it.

No one could have imagined that it would have been so devastating to the general public at that time, he added.

Beyond topping the charts, Brian recalls finally becoming popular with the public, not just their devoted followers.

Frontman and keyboard player Freddie, who passed away in 1991 at the age of 45, wrote the legendary song.

Brian and Roger continued recording and performing until a short while after his tragic passing, occasionally collaborating with other musicians.

The duo released the album The Cosmos Rocks in 2004 and collaborated with Paul Rodgers between 2004 and 2009.

Joanna Lumley opens up on death as she admits she’s ‘conscious of growing older’

The 79-year-old actress from “lovely piece” about the sensitive subject of growing older shared words from the “lovely piece” that she referred to as “conscious of growing older.”

Joanna Lumley has admitted that she’s “conscious of growing older” as she shared insights into her views on death. Speaking in a recent interview, the 79-year-old Absolutely Fabulous actress, who has recently released a book featuring lines from some of her favourite authors — titled My Book of Treasures — addressed the topic of death.

Her comments came as she discussed a “lovely piece” by 18th-century English writer Samuel Johnson, whose words, Joanna says, convey a “general feeling” that “life goes by” and that we must be “ready” for death.

It also prompted her to reveal that she’d discussed her funeral plans with her husband, Stephen Barlow, and shared a segment from a profound poem by a “great sage poet”, the Indian polymath, Rabindranath Tagore.

Joanna told Hello! magazine: “One’s conscious of growing older. And therefore I’ve got a lovely piece by Samuel Johnson, written in 1770, saying: ‘I’m an old man now, so hope I get through the year and granted the grace to behave properly.’

“Be prepared for it, everyone, regardless of how old or young we are, and life goes on, whether it’s good or bad.”

Joanna explained further that she had spoken with Stephen about her death and that he thought your own funeral had nothing to do with you.

In response, Joanna stressed that she wouldn’t like to have a service, to which she says he replied that this would “be up to him and her son, photographer Jamie Lumley, if they’re around.”

She continued, “I like the very last poem in the book by the great sage poet, Rabindranath Tagore, who said, “Death is not extinguishing the light: it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.” And you think, “Oh, that’s amazing.

In other news, Joanna, who plays Grandmama Hester Frump in the most recent season of Netflix’s Addams Family spin-off show Wednesday, reportedly took aim at Bad Romance singer Lady Gaga last month.

Joanna, a member of the House of Gucci actress, claimed that no one was able to see her during the shooting in Ireland because she makes an appearance as Rosaline Rotwood’s spirit on the show.

Meanwhile, Joanna compared this to “utter sweetheart” George Clooney, who starred in a comedic Downton Abbey sketch alongside her, and claimed he “did photographs with every single person.”

She also shared a behind-the-scenes tidbit about Wednesday during an appearance on BBC’s The One Show. Speaking to hosts Alex Jones and Angellica Bell, Joanna opened up about her accent on the show.

People in hysterics as couple share foster dog’s musical distaste for one band

Isabel Klee, a dog lover, shared the moment she and her partner realized Whimsy, their foster dog, had a strong opinion of the couple’s musical taste, which brought on tears in others.

People are now questioning why a pair of dog owners became so upset after realizing their foster dog had a particular music preference.

Dogs are funny creatures who often have no problem expressing their thoughts and opinion, even if we don’t speak the same language. Instead, they might be wagging their tail or seeking attention when they’re happy and content with something. Meanwhile, their body language completely change to being more reserved or flatten their ears back if they’re unhappy. While dogs might have a preference on their favourite food, one dog owning couple were shocked when they realised their foster pup had a strong preference regarding music.

Taking to TikTok, Isabel Klee, who has over one million followers on the platform, shared a video of the moment she and her fiancé realised that their foster dog Whimsy had strong opinions regarding the band Creed.

She wrote in the video, “My fiance and I discovered last week that our foster dog loves when we sing to her.” She distinctly hated my fiancee singing Creed, she said.

The couple is then shown in the video trying to hide their dog in the woman’s arms while the man is singing the Creed song “With Arms Wide Open” from 1999. With her paw on the woman’s arm, Whimsy clearly wanted to tell her to stop singing, but she looked up and realized she wasn’t.

Isabel then went on to explain that she and her partner had chosen to test Whimsy’s musical taste by letting the man perform various songs, some Creed, to see how the dog would respond.

Without prior authorization, content cannot be displayed.

The man changed the name Bennie for Whimsy for the first song, signing Bennie and the Jets. As the pup scurried off the couch to get to the man in the kitchen and wiggled her tail as he continued to sing for her, it was obvious that the pup was enjoying this song more than the Creed song.

After switching to Miss You by Blink-182, the video then cuts to another moment when Whimsy was back on the couch. The man also managed to include Whimsy’s name in the song, which gave the dog a whined, as well, as the dog was obviously enthralled by the song.

Whimsy is incredibly fond of singing, which is obvious. Perhaps the Creed song’s response was merely a one-time event? The man once more began singing the same Creed song as he did at the beginning of the video to test it once more as Whimsy was back on the couch.

This time, Whimsy sat down with Isabel, staring at the kitchen man, before turning around to comfort her.

Isabel turned the camera on and said, “She’s like, mom make it stop.” She was trying to comfort herself by capturing Whimsy cuddling up to her. She really detests Creed, my God.

The two dog owners weren’t the only ones who found this amusing, as several viewers quickly emailed their opinions in the comments section, some of which included theories about why Whimsy disliked Creed.

One person claimed that “her name isn’t in the creed song,” while another claimed that “you DID NOT PUT HER NAME IN THE CREED LYRICS!” Jesus . never had a chance.
