Mick Jagger and his fiancée Melanie Hamrick looked loved up as they made a rare red carpet appearance. The private couple looked in love as they walked the carpet at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala.
The Rolling Stones rocker, 82, walked the red carpet in the United States alongside his fiancée Melanie, 38. The former dancer wowed in a stunning red satin gown with a thigh high split whilst Mick looked dapped in a black blazer and a floral shirt.
The pair looked loved up as they walked a rare red carpet together after meeting backstage at a concert in 2014, when she was touring with New York City’s American Ballet Theatre.
She was with the dance company for 15 years before she retired from dancing in 2019 to focus on her love of writing fiction, which she now does as a career, and raise her and Mick’s son Deveraux.
Melanie had previously been quizzed about the couple’s romance and the age gap. Of their romance, she shared to The Times: “Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyse it.
“Am I happy? Yes. Are the people in my life happy? Yes. Am I hurting anyone? No. Okay, they can mind their own business.” Joking about their age gap in another interview, she added: “He’s younger than me!
“He’s amazing; he really is … I feel very secure in my relationship. There will always be rumours, but I know what Mick and I have, so I don’t pay attention to them.”
Earlier this year, Melanie confirmed the pair had got engaged “two or three years ago” but were in no rush to tie the knot. She said: “Maybe one day we’ll marry, maybe not. We are so happy in our current life that I would be too afraid to change anything. We try to support each other, be there for each other, and make sure everyone is happy. That’s all that matters to me and all I strive for.”
When the pair first met backstage at his concert, Melanie didn’t think anything about them dating. “Maybe a spark, but nothing incredible, like, ‘Come on, I’ll blow your mind and we’ll travel the world,” she recalled of their first meeting, “We didn’t even exchange phone numbers. At the time, I wasn’t in a relationship, but he was.”
The pair also chatted about the son Deveraux Octavian Basil they share together, revealing he’s just like his dad. Melanie explained: “It’s amazing. It’s natural. It’s in his genes. He just, like, moves. No one taught him.

“No one influenced him. He moved like that before he even saw one of his dad’s concerts. It’s still there.”

Meghan Markle is set to make another appearance at a major event in the US, just days after her joint outing with Prince Harry in New York for the World Mental Health Day gala.
The Duchess of Sussex will travel to Washington DC next week for the Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women Summit on October 14, where she will be joined by some of the most influential names in the country.
Meghan is reportedly set to discuss the launch of her lifestyle brand As Ever, as well as “navigating entrepreneurship in the public eye and building a brand that will endure.”

According to People magazine, the three-day summit will also feature talks by former Vice President Kamala Harris on her presidential campaign and recently released book; Selena Gomez on her Rare Beauty brand; Kara Lawson on coaching the USA Women’s Basketball Team and Brené Brown on team leadership and company culture, amongst others.
It comes after a whirlwind few weeks for the duchess. She made a surprise appearance at Paris Fashion Week last Saturday before heading to New York City, where she and Harry received an award last night.
The couple, co-founders of the Archewell Foundation, received the Project Healthy Minds’ Humanitarians of the Year Award in recognition of their campaigns to make the online world a safer place for families and young people.
Accepting the award, Meghan spoke candidly of her two children and their futures, saying: “Our children, Archie and Lili, are just six and four years old. Luckily still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming.”
“Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits, while safeguarding against its dangers. That hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”
Before heading to New York, the Duchess of Sussex travelled to the French capital to attend the Balenciaga show for their Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear design showcase at Paris Fashion Week.
Many asked why Meghan appeared at this particular show during the event, and it appears she is friends with the fashion designer Pierpaolo Piccioli – Balenciaga’s new creative director – and wore his designs when he previously worked at Valentino.
A spokesman for the duchess said: “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex attended the Balenciaga show in Paris on Saturday night in support of Pierpaolo Piccioli, who recently assumed the role of creative director for the house.
“This marks her first time back to the shows in over a decade. Over the years, the duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage.”
The creator and director of the first Naked Gun movies hasn’t held back with his feelings about the latest reboot as he admits he will never watch the film starring Liam Neeson
David Zucker speaks to The Mirror about being cut out of The Naked Gun reboot
The original creator and director of the Naked Gun movies has pulled no punches when it comes his thoughts about the reboot of the iconic franchise. David Zucker, who is also the legend behind other big-screen hits such as Airplane and Scary Movie 3 and 4, revealed his disappointment with this year’s release involving Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, the movie guru admits he hasn’t watched the full remake – and has no intention of doing so. However, he did read the script and confessed he “can’t unsee” the trailer for the “cr*p” film.
Despite his brutal admission, he confessed he was still “rooting for it to be a success”. “I was rooting for it to be a success, because if comedy would do well in the movie theatres, then maybe studios will do comedies instead.

“This thing did the opposite, you know. It’s a piece of cr*p and, although I haven’t seen it, I’ve just seen the trailer – I hate having seen it, because you can’t unsee these things. “
Zucker also claimed his position to help on the remake was surprisingly removed after initially being told bosses wanted him to be a part of it. So much so, he had produced a new script.
“We were in talks with Paramount to do it,” he said. “And I would direct. And then suddenly, Seth MacFarlane comes in, and, you know, he’s a big, famous, rich producer, and he comes in with a big star, Liam Neeson, and he thought he knew how to do it better.
“So totally, I got wiped out. And that’s Hollywood. So they went ahead and did it…. they don’t think I am capable of doing it, it’s weird. It’s just weird. And all I can say is, that’s Hollywood….Paramount owns the franchise. They can do what they want.”
He admits the reboot “could have been great” as he explained how different his script would have been. Describing how his vision had the franchise heading into the Mission Impossible spy thriller type creation, Zucker said they had retitled their idea Counter Intelligence and it was going to follow the story of Leslie Nielsen’s character’s son.
“It was going to be a 30-something guy. To cast an older guy like Leslie or Liam is a 40 year old idea, we did that.”
Opening up on the casting of Neeson and Anderson, Zucker was very complimentary of the duo and their careers. However, he admitted it wouldn’t have been the path he would have went down.
“I love Pam Anderson,” he gushed. “I directed her in Scary Movie 3 and she’s a great person. Liam, I’ve never met, but he’s a fine actor.”
And he said their stardom was actually part of the movie’s downfall, adding: “In fact, you know, this is the other mistake that they make. We always used B actors like Leslie Nielsen and Robert Stack [at the time].
“I did interviews months ago about this, you know, and the headline said ‘Zucker would not have cast Liam Neeson’, as though I didn’t like Liam Neeson, or would have cast another old guy. No, it would have been no old guys. That’s an old idea.”
Zucker went on to claim that while MacFarlane can be seen as a legend in his own style of production, it didn’t mean he was right for this particular role. “You can’t be a fanboy and then think you can do the movies, you know?
“The guy at my dry cleaners loves Naked Gun, but it doesn’t mean he can do it. So there you have Seth McFarlane thinking, ‘well, I’m such a great, famous, rich producer’. I mean, this guy can print money from Family Guy. But they can’t do it [Naked Gun].”
Despite his views, Zucker admits he has no hard feelings towards MacFarlane. And he also said he has left the shun behind him and is currently focusing on his latest creation.
Zucker is currently in pre-production for a film noir movie titled Star Of Malta. “That’ll be my my work that I’ll be very proud of it, he said.
“Spoof has not changed. I mean, Star of Malta will be spoof 2.0. This represents an evolution of what we have called spoof but I always want to do something new.
“And my Naked Gun, or would have bee a little bit evolved from the Naked Guns, but not as much as as Star Malta is really represents a whole new thing.
“It’s a black and white movie set in 1949 and it’s gonna look exactly like it was shot in 1949, so I’m excited about that.”
As well as his new movie, Zucker revealed he was shocked at how the 15 rules of spoof comedy weren’t followed in The Naked Gun, so he started his own online course in comedy. “It’s called MasterCrash,” he told us.
“I’m teaching the rules. And there’s so many things involved in writing and directing comedy, and most specifically spoof comedy. I’ve done about 17 episodes, one, one on the on each rule, and then another kind of introductory episodes about comedy in general.
“It’s material that you cannot learn in college, because the college professors, I mean, they may be very knowledgeable about film, but they don’t have the experience of having done it. So this is unique.”

Diversity star Jordan Banjo has revealed he’s suffered multiple nasty injuries thanks to his new career as he admitted the major toll it has taken on his body

Jordan Banjo has revealed the extent of his injuries
Jordan Banjo has revealed his new sporting obsession has taken a major toll on his body already as he’s had two major surgeries. The Diversity dancer and TV star hasn’t been put off boxing despite ending up in hospital.
He has even challenged another Love Islander for a big fight as part of Misfits Boxing. Jordan shot to fame back in 2009 with his brother Ashely when they won that year’s Britain’s Got Talent competition as part of Diversity.
The dancer, 32, has since appeared on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, Dancing on Ice and The Masked Singer, but is enjoying a totally different career path with boxing. However, it hasn’t all been going to plan as last year Jordan shared photos from a hospital bed.

He took on the intense training for his first ever match but ended up with a nasty injury streak. Detailing the horror injuries, Jordan revealed he tore his bicep and said it was a “full rupture”.
The TV star needed surgery to “reattach it” as he added: “A complete tear, the kind that would put most people out of action for months.” It wasn’t his first brush with the medical room as he was left unable to move his finger following a previous injury.
Jordan told the Sun: “I’d done a ligament in my hand which had to be repaired so I couldn’t move my little finger… it just had to either move to be straight or move to be bent because the ligament had snapped.”
Despite his painful injury spell, Jordan managed to win his first fight in May as he went up against Love Island’s Wil Anderson. He is also not giving up as he’s been taking on strength and conditioning training.
In another blow, Jordan admitted he tore his pec but is “definitely planning to fight again”. Boxing isn’t to blame for all Jordan’s injuries, however, as his dancing career as forced him to need surgeries on his knees and ankle as well as “snapping” both his thumbs.
Injury prone Jordan suffered another hit over the summer as he revealed he had a mishap at a pool while on holiday with his family. He revealed he had finally learned to swim aged 32 but suffered a bash to the head just hours later.
Sharing the story with his fans back in August, he said: “I’m currently in Spain and great news I’ve learnt to swim at 32 years old (yes I finally did it). Feeling beyond confident I challenged my seven-year-old son to a race. He accepts, foolishly.
“I tell him he can race normal, I’ll give him a head start and ONLY swim under water. I end up swimming blind under water because obviously I don’t have goggles (why would I need them? I couldn’t swim until about 48 hours ago).”

He then added: “In my panic of not wanting to lose and realising I haven’t quite mastered underwater technique, I fly full pelt, head first into the jagged side wall of the pool in front of about 25 spectators. I come up for air, dizzy, head pounding and my son is already at the other side.”

Tim got a great reaction from fans when he took to the decks
The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess delighted fans at a charity party as he turned up to play for just 250 people.
The third anniversary of an event called Stow-Ho House took place at the Walthamstow Trades Hall, with the secret headliner revealed as Tim Burgess just hours before.
The lead singer of The Charlatans and indie legend treated the intimate capacity venue to an energetic and eclectic DJ set, bringing the same passion and musical insight to the dancefloor that has defined his decades-long career at the forefront of British music.
Other sets throughout the night came from producer, DJ and Cheap Thrills boss Hervé, Adelphi Music Factory, and more.
The regular event has a habit of bringing world class music talent to East London to raise money for charity.
For the 3rd Birthday, funds were donated primarily to War Child and also to Astron Health cancer cell sequencing to support a dear friend of Stow-Ho House.
Co-promoters Juliet Cromwell and Sam Potts said “We’re completely blown away by last night. All the DJ’s knocked it out the park and it was phenomenal to see the crowd bouncing until the lights turned on. Tim’s set was truly a floor filling masterclass – there was pure joy on the dancefloor in Walthamstow last night. Watch this space for the next event excitement.”
Rapidly establishing itself as the highlight of the E17 social calendar, Stow-Ho House is renowned as being “harder to get tickets for than Glastonbury”, according to locals with tickets selling out in seconds.
Previously, the highly sought-after gatherings have featured surprise performances from legendary figures such as Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada and Arctic Monkeys producer James Ford, alongside disco aficionado Greg Wilson, Secret Sundaze’s James Priestly, house music pioneer Lottie and celebrated artists including Frank Tope, Tayo and Trafford.
Originating as a platform for local talent, the event series has blossomed into a sensational triumph, held several times a year at The Walthamstow Trades Hall.
Stow-Ho House is the visionary creation of Juliet Cromwell and Sam Potts, who have harnessed their extensive contacts and deep knowledge of the music industry to raise essential funds in an innovative way – through the power of the dance floor.

Strictly Come Dancing champion Chris McCausland has revealed the emotional burden of the programme after reaching the final and claiming the prestigious Glitterball trophy last year.
Having secured the top prize, he has confessed that he battled to control his feelings as he progressed through the contest alongside his dance partner, Dianne Buswell.
During a recent appearance on the Parenting Hell podcast, the Liverpool-born comedian discussed the intense emotions throughout his stint on the BBC programme, revealing: “It was a lot every week. I tried to keep a lid on it in one sense, which was to not kind of break down on the telly.”
He continued: “But I also realised very quickly something that I’ve always shied away from – the value in people seeing you be vulnerable.”
Despite struggling to “keep a lid” on his feelings throughout the programme, one of his most unforgettable moments came when he performed the waltz to the soundtrack of You’ll Never Walk Alone, leaving both judges and viewers stunned by the routine.
The pair’s waltz even secured them the BAFTA for Memorable Moment at the 2025 awards.
While many had predicted him to be knocked out in the early rounds, Chris and Dianne stunned audiences as they progressed all the way to the final, defeating rivals including Sarah Hadland, JB Gill, and Tasha Ghouri to be crowned champions.
Their Strictly victory held additional significance as it marked the first time a blind contestant had ever clinched the title.
Before his Strictly win, Chris had already gained fame from years of touring the country as a stand-up comedian, with a major career highlight in 2018 when he appeared on Live at the Apollo.
In addition to Strictly, he has made several other TV appearances over the years, featuring in the Jimmy McGovern series Moving On in 2014.
Since then, he has also appeared in EastEnders, Would I Lie To You?, Have I Got News For You, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Yesterday, the 48-year-old released his new memoir, Keep Laughing, documenting everything from his early life to his Strictly win.
