Carl Woods, a reality TV star, claims Katie Price was “the reason” he “blocked” her from their IVF docuseries.
Carl, 35, and Katie, 46, appeared together in the two-part Channel 4 series Katie Price: Making Babies. The couple’s IVF journey ended in 2023 despite their success and ended up falling out, according to the show’s last week airing.
Before Katie gets treatment with a donor egg, she claims that Carl has “blocked” her and that their relationship has ended in the second episode. He’s later seen suggesting that he needs “stability” in his life and that he doesn’t have any “fight” left in him.
He has since spoken to the Sun, though, and reportedly shared the “real reason” behind his decision to “block” Katie, which is said to have been removed from the show. According to Carl, “It was biased edited to make it appear as though the reason I blocked her and we broke up was because IVF failed and she was too old to give me a baby.”
Carl said “all of a sudden” Katie woke up one morning and he was supposedly a “no-show” at an appointment and “blocked” her. He said: “And she doesn’t know why”. However, he added that the production company was “more than aware” of what was “going on in the relationship.”
He continued by saying that they “edited” out what had taken place and discussed the “reason” why he blocked her. Carl said that the day before, Katie had gone out “apparently to ‘ work ‘” and “ignored” him “all day”. He said that she was “non contactable” despite being on and offline on WhatsApp.
Carl, Katie’s ex-partner, claimed that he and Jett, 11, who had called her on video that evening at her home. He claims that Katie acknowledged Carl’s presence when she responded. He said that she was “out on the p*ss” and he could “hear a fella taking with her her” in the background. After speaking with Katie, Carl claimed that she instructed him to “f*** off and hang up.” He concluded: “She and the production company knew exactly the reason why I didn’t go to the next appointment”.
In the docuseries itself, discussing the situation, Katie says that Carl has described her as being “horrible” to him amid hormonal changes and has “blocked” her. She adds: “We’ve had a failed IVF and then he can just drop me like that. Don’t care how I feel, or how much I thought my heart was going to a donor egg. So for him now to decide ‘ nah, I’m just gonna block her'”.
Carl however shares: “It’s the hardest decision of my life to tap out on it. She will just think that I’m out of order. ‘ He’s left me when we’re having a child, ‘ but it’s not about that at all. What it is about]is] having stability in my life. Kids need a stable home and there’s no sign of it changing. I don’t have the fight left in me. I’ve fought for three years”.
He adds in the episode: “I never wanted it to go this way. An IVF journey is hard anyway. With the use of drugs and mood swings, it’s really challenging. It’s been absolute hell. I’ve sat on the bed’s end. I’ve cried to her. The only thing left to do is to leave, even though I have already done everything.
A spokesperson for Channel 4 said: “Katie Price: Making Babies is a fair and balanced representation of events during filming”.
