Capital FM’s Jordan North throws shade at ex-Radio 1 colleagues after ice cold exit
After leaving the station earlier this year with an icy cold, Capital FM presenter Jordan North appears to have taken a dig at his former employer, BBC Radio 1.
Back in February, it was announced that Jordan, 34, would take over from Roman Kemp as the host of Capital Breakfast Show. At the time, Roman, 31, announced he was stepping down after 10 years with the station.
Jordan co-hosted the hit podcast Help I Sexted My Boss!, which he previously presented for Radio 1 and had a smashing I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
Jordan stated when it was revealed that he was joining the Capital FM family that he was “amazed to be joining Global and waking up the nation every morning on Capital.” “I can’t wait to start working with the amazing team here and get sucked in to create the most fun and entertaining breakfast show.”

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I simply couldn’t refuse to host Capital Breakfast, which has always been a dream of mine.
Jordan’s departure from Radio 1 shocked listeners, but he also felt a bigger shock. The presenter was” blindsided “by news of his departure, which was issued without his knowledge in chaotic scenes.
Jordan was chosen to replace Roman as host of Capital Radio’s breakfast program. He had already presented his final BBC drive-time episode alongside co-host Vick Hope, though he had not been aware, when his departure was made public.
A source at the time claimed that Jordan’s departure, after he let producers know he wanted to leave, was causing tensions for a while.
The source said:” Conversations were going back and forth between Jordan’s people and the top people at the BBC for months, and over time they deteriorated. Once he formally requested to leave, that was it – he was off air, immediately. It’s a shame it ended on such a bad note after 10 years. “

Jordan has now criticized his former colleagues almost a year after leaving Radio 1. Jordan has seen the show grow and succeed more than ever since he first joined Capital Breakfast from Radio 1.
An additional 400,000 people have watched the star, along with co-hosts Sian Welby and Chris Stark, since he first appeared on the program in February. In a matter of months, the trio have amassed a massive audience of 2.96 million.
Throwing shade at his former workplace while celebrating his Capital co-stars, Jordan told The Sun:” I won’t lie, it’s quite sweet that we’re beating Radio 1 in younger audiences. “
The actor is also thrilled to be hosting Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball this weekend, where Coldplay and Perry will play.
