Jimmy Butler’s Miami Heat team lost to the Denver Nuggets 133-113 after receiving a seven-game suspension.

The 35-year-old requested a trade after the Heat earlier this month called him out for “conduct detrimental to the team.”

The Heat initially stated they would not trade Butler, but later said they would take any offers for the six-time NBA All-Star.

However, Butler remains with the Heat and scored 18 points and played 33 minutes in Friday’s defeat in Florida.

Less than two hours prior to tipoff, Butler’s agent, Bernie O. Lee, announced in a statement on social media that “I’m back.” The statement appeared to be responding to inquiries about Butler’s career goals.

He donned a number 45 Chicago Bulls jersey, which Michael Jordan had worn when he first retired, and he answered questions at his locker after the game.

“There was a lot said by everybody, except for me, to tell you the truth”, Butler said about the suspension.

“So we’ll allow people to continue speaking as though they are complete experts.” And then, sooner or later, the whole truth will come out.

” But, until then, we’ll continue to let people talk. If I’m here, I will get out there and play. “

Regarding his team-mates, Butler said:” It felt good to get out there, compete, and actually run around with these guys.

“As much as everybody may think, I don’t got a problem with these guys. These guys are cool. They’re my friends. My beef is not with them, never will be, and never has been”.

Los Angeles Lakers defeated Brooklyn Nets 102-101 to overthrow the team’s forward Anthony Davis.

LeBron James added 29 points and eight assists, but Davis had a foot issue that kept him from scoring his second game of the month.

With 37 seconds left, Brooklyn regained the lead after the Lakers had three minutes and 45 seconds to go, scoring with a three-pointer from Noah Clowney.
