Muhammad Mokaev will fight Adriano Moraes in a flyweight bout on the undercard of Ronda Rousey v Gina Carano on 16 May in California.

The Briton was released by the UFC in 2024 but has collected three wins since as well as competing in several grappling bouts.

Mokaev, 25, faces Brazil’s Moraes who has 21 wins in 27 fights but recently became a free agent.

Born in Russia before moving to England as a young refugee with his family, Mokaev is unbeaten in 17 matches with one co-contest.

Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) confirmed the bout in announcing the remainder of the undercard for Rousey’s comeback.

The event will consist of 11 bouts including Francis Ngannou v Philipe Lins in a heavyweight contest and Nate Diaz v Mike Perry in a welterweight bout.

Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and UFC two-weight champion Alex Pereira’s sister Aline Pereira are also included on the card.

MVP has picked up several ex-UFC fighters and free agents for the event with Rousey insisting she wanted to “challenge the monolith the UFC has become” within MMA.

The first women’s champion in the UFC has not fought for 10 years, after retiring from MMA following successive losses.

Among the former UFC fighters on the card are Rousey, Ngannou, Diaz, Perry, Lorenz Larkin, Robelis Despaigne and Chris Avila.
