Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s unexpected private texts revealed amid legal battle
alleged texts exchanged in the most recent It Ends With Us legal saga between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
Blake, 37, and Justin, 41, reportedly had a very contentious time working together on the Hollywood movie, which was released back in August to mixed reviews. Despite rumours of the duo’s issues on set emerging before the film was even released, however, text messages suggest things weren’t all bad between them.
The texts have been included in both actor’s legal filings, with Justin’s lawyers claiming that he and Blake “grew close” and texted frequently, describing how they “shared stories and pictures from their lives, commiserated over family illnesses and exchanged jokes and memes”.
The duo reportedly praised one another and praised their work in texts that were obtained by the Daily Mail, while also making an apparent reference to their own shortcomings. In one conversation, Blake allegedly responded to a message from Justin by saying: “I feel the same. We’re proud to have done work that is satisfying, which is a good feeling. And to do it together. When we discover it, it simply clicks.
” And that’s just as rewarding as filming it. Or editing it. or promoting it. Or releasing it. This is all storytelling. We do it because of this. “She then followed up:” Thank you for your collaboration. I’m really proud of what we’re doing. “
” I like sentimental Blake, “Justin replied, with Blake joking back:” Never met her. “Justin then allegedly texted:” I also like a**hole Blake… don’t worry. “Blake seemed to accept the quip, and sent back:” ‘ I’ve met her. So have my suppositories. “
With later in the movie, he texted his co-star, “I’m not going to tell you that you were amazing because you tease me for being so sentimental – but you were amazing today,” the idea of Justin being more “secular” than his co-star seemed to be a recurring theme.
“Thank you, I appreciate it very much. Although it means a lot to me, I’m only a ball-buster. I care a great deal. And always want to deliver, “Blake responded. She then fawned over Justin’s work in the alleged messages, adding:” You were terrific. I’m proud of everything we did today, but really every day. Blake and Justin’s representatives have been contacted by The Mirror for comment.
On December 20, Blake filed an 80-page legal complaint against Justin, which set off the legal drama It Ends With Us. In part of her complaint, she alleges that Justin made a concerted effort to” destroy her reputation. “Blake claimed that Justin’s alleged behaviour caused her” severe emotional distress. “
In Blake’s legal complaint, she claims that a meeting was held back in January to address Blake’s claims and her demands for working on It Ends With Us concerning Justin’s alleged behaviour. Demands addressed in the It Ends With Us team meeting reportedly included” no more showing nude videos or images of women to Blake, no more mention of Justin’s alleged previous ‘ pornography addiction, ‘ no more discussions about sexual conquests in front of Blake and others, no further mentions of cast and crew’s genitalia, no more inquiries about Blake’s weight, and no further mention of Blake’s dead father. “
In response, Justin filed a lawsuit against Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds in January, alleging that the movie involved extortion and defamation.
According to the lawsuit, Blake and her team allegedly gave false information to him, causing him to lose control of the movie. There is compelling evidence, according to Justin’s attorney.
