Billy Ray Cyrus’ son claims singer threatened him with legal action after desperate plea

After making a passionate plea on social media for help, Tracey Cyrus claims that Billy Ray Cyrus, his country singer father, has threatened him with legal action.

There have been concerns since Billy, 63, who is best known for Achy Breaky Heart, delivered a performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration which was described as a “trainwreck”.

Miley and Noah Cyrus’ brother, Trace, 35, reached out to his father directly via a statement on Instagram. The singer wrote: “Dad my message was beyond loving. Although I could have been very open to more, I don’t want to promote your company in that way. However, it is repulsive for you to threaten to bring legal action against me because you want to help.

Trace then made reference to his paternal grandfather as he continued to make his argument. He stated in his father’s message that “Pappy is looking down at you with such disappointment I can assure you.” You should be ashamed of yourself. I’ll always be in love with you, but I’m starting to dislike you. Everyone you know is terrified to express their emotions to you. I’m not. Get help”.

Trace then made a second plea to his father’s fans in the comments section of his post. He asked: “Send my dad some words of encouragement guys!! I believe that the man from our ancestors is still somewhere. We gotta get him back”.

Not just the Instagram post, which attempted to persuade his father to accept his request, was posted as well. After lamenting his relationship with his father, Trace added a few throwback photos to his Instagram Stories.

One of the photos showed Trace walking with his dad in a field, which he captioned: “Father’s Day 2022”. The singer then stated, “I’d say this was my dad’s final enjoyable day.” The other photo shows Billy Ray receiving a vaccination and on his black T-shirt, it reads, “Jesus is my Booster”. Trace commented across the photo: “Ohhh the irony”.

Trace, who was adopted at age four after Billy Ray married in mother Tish, in 1993, then commented on his post: “For all of you wondering no I still haven’t heard from my dad. He did inform a family member that he was bringing legal action against me for urging him to seek assistance. Dad I live 30 minutes away from your. You could’ve just come &amp, talked to me like a man”.

On Thursday, Trace had also shared his feelings on his father, thanking him for adopting him when he was aged four. He remarked, “I can only recall being obsessed with you and believing you were the coolest person ever,” adding, “Since my earliest memories, all I can recall is that.” I aspired to be like you. The day I was adopted was the most joyful day of my life.

The man I so desperately desired to be, I sadly don’t know, is the one I’ve been wanting forever. Everyone but you seems to have seen how you have been defeated by the world.

Preempting the response from his father, Trace added: “You may be upset with me for posting this. At this point, I have no idea what to think. You’ve pushed all of us away, despite the fact that we have been deeply concerned about you for years.
