Jonathan Antoine, the star of Britain’s Got Talent, is so unrecognizable ten years after impressing the judges with his stunning performance. According to OK!, Jonathan and his singing partner Charlotte Jaconelli, age 17, won over audiences with their performance on the 2012 musical, which ultimately placed him in the lead over Ashleigh and Pudsey.

Post-BGT, the duo landed a whopping £1m record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco label, but their journey ended two years later. Fast forward twelve years, and Jonathan still resides in Hainault, London with his family. Unfortunately, he and Charlotte have lost touch, although he once hinted at a reunion in another ‘ 20 years ‘ time’. Amidst various career turns and personal issues, the most noticeable change is Jonathan’s physical transformation.

He has significantly lost weight as a result of his dietary and lifestyle modifications. Despite admitting to previous lack of discipline, he now says: “I’ve still got a lot to lose but I’m making my way. This is more than I have in ten years, which is a lot. This year I’ve made an active choice. I’ve been feeling a lot of lack of discipline. When I was out in America its fast food everywhere. I was in a terrible state at the beginning of the year, but with some light exercise, I was able to recover.

Jonathan, who has been avoiding heavy exercise due to his size, shared: “I’m a very big fella so heavy exercise would just tear me up. I’m working my way up, thinking about what I eat because that is important”.

He added: “For a long time I was just experiencing life, letting life live me, trying to find the next pleasure. Taking control of your own life, grabbing the world with your hands, feels amazing”.

With his debut solo album Tenore, Jonathan rose to the top of the list of Classical Artist Albums after breaking into the BGT world and has collaborated with renowned artists like Italy’s Leone Magiera and Rolando Villazon, a pianist who worked with Pavarotti.
