BGT star Chantel Bellew’s tragic cause of death years after making Ant and Dec laugh on show

Following a long battle with depression, Chantel Bellew, who reached the quarter-finals of Series 13 of Britain’s Got Talent, tragically passed away a month later.
Britain’s Got Talent fans are heartbroken over the sudden death of dance teacher, Chantel Bellew. The talented performer, who made it to the quarter finals of Series 13 of the ITV reality show, died a month after her 34th birthday after a long battle with depression.
Chantel died from a suspected overdose in a tragic loss for her friends and family, who remember the star as being “the life and soul of the party”, who was ‘delighted’ to have made it to Britain’s Got Talent in 2019. Following the tragic loss, the dancer’s loved ones have set up a GoFundMe page to help with the costs of her funeral, which had raised £8,200 at time of writing.

Her friends said: “We pay tribute to the performer who once taught Strictly star Anton Du Beke how to tap dance. We want to honor her life and the beautiful impact she had had on everyone who knew her.
Chantel was more than just a daughter, wife, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She embodied a compassionate, compassionate, and fervent spirit that delighted and jolted the lives of so many.
You can bet that Chantel was a character that no one will ever forget because she had unmatched talent and was the life and soul of every party. We as friends of Chantel would like to bid her a happy farewell in the showbiz.
They explained that any remaining funds will be donated to mental health charity, Mind, and that “funeral expenses” and “memorial services” will be included in the GoFundMe donation policy.
Chantel, who had a talent for dancing, appeared on Broadway in numerous musicals, including 42nd Street in Paris. Her only real claim to fame was obtaining a military-themed dance routine for hosts Declan Donnelly and Ant McPartlin on BGT, which she hosted.
At the conclusion of the performance, two male dancers removed the Geordie duo’s Union Jack bodice, which the audience was in stitches for. Although impressing the judges, Chantel only managed to make it to the semi-finals, according to friends who watched her on the well-known ITV talent show.
The dancer showed Strictly jugde, Anton, how to tap dance on a video that she shared with her on Facebook page. The video’s caption read, “Great day teaching Anton some tap.”
In recent years, Chantel, who resides in Widnes, Cheshire, taught dance and singing. She left her teaching career to work in a supermarket, but her mental health is deteriorating.
She was praised by her friend, Katy Glover, who is also a performer, as she “was such a whirlwind, the life and soul of the party, and such a bundle of life.” She was a fantastic tap dancer, a great host of Britain’s Got Talent, and a constant source of inspiration for everyone.
Chantel described how she had a fantastic time and treated it like a second audition because of how determined and professional she was.
She also taught Anton Du Beke tap because she thought she was the best tapper in the industry. She was extraordinary, unique, lovable, and steadfast.
