BBC The Apprentice star robbed just minutes before live radio interview

Nadia Suliaman, a contestant on this year’s Apprentice, was robbed just minutes before she was scheduled to appear for a live interview.

Nadia owns a salon chain in Knightsbridge and is originally from Swansea. With an impressive list of celebrity clients, Nadia considers her salon chain to be her greatest business achievement so far. The star has now opened up about the unfortunate circumstance she faced just before her recent interview.

The incident occurred shortly before she was due to chat with host Bobby Norris and guest co-host Hayley Palmer on Fubar Radio’s showbiz programme Access All Areas. Nadia had just returned from an event and was excited to join the interview, but things took an unexpected turn when she discovered that her car had been broken into.

On the show, Nadia explained the situation, revealing the shock she felt after her laptop was stolen. She said: “I’ve come back from an event all happy, all buzzing to come and see you and the next second someone’s broken through my motor window and stolen my laptop. Like what is going on? It’s so gutting honestly. So I’ve had to join you via Zoom.”

Last month, Nadia took to Instagram to reveal that she would be appearing on The Apprentice. Sharing a photo of herself in a chic yellow dress, she captioned the post: “BIG NEWS!!! 20 is my number! not only is it my birthday today January 20th, my first flagship store I opened in Knightsbridge is also number 20 and opened 2020, I moved to London on the 20th and the biggest secret that I’ve had to keep for the best part of a year can finally be announced on the 20th January how the align ! …. I am happy to announce that I am one of the candidates on this years season 19 the @apprenticeuk. I want to say thank you to all the amazing people who have supported me! Including friends, family and my business @forbici_knightsbridge.”

Nadia fell unwell while in the boardroom earlier this month, as bosses decided to step in. It came after the stars were filming the virtual popstar tasks, in which the teams went viral for their ‘cringe’ characters. In the days prior to the task, Nadia had been suffering from an illness – but things got worse when the candidates headed into the tense boardroom. Nadia’s ‘constant coughing’ appeared to cause a disruption in filming with Lord Sugar, Baroness Brady and Tim Campbell, as producers decided to halt filming early on in the series. Speaking on the moment to The Sun, Nadia revealed she got “quite ill in episode two.”

“I was coughing. I was literally coughing so much that I was like splattering and they had to stop production because you know I was ill.” Despite Lord Sugar’s ‘brutal’ treatment towards Nadia on Thursday night’s boardroom, Nadia revealed his sweet gesture off set. This is such a kind thing but it just stuck with me. Lord Sugar just like threw across the table a throat lozenger to me,” she told the publication. It wasn’t only Lord Sugar who looked after the star, as she also revealed Baroness Brady offered her a tissue.
