For their light-welterweight fight on Saturday in London, Adam Azim and Sergey Lipinets made weight on their second try.
While Lipinets was a pound over the 10st limit, Briton Azim’s initial weight was 5 oz.
Each fighter had two hours to lose weight, and Azim, an unbeaten prospect, credited with the scales’ initial reading.
“There’s something wrong with the scales, because I weighed in earlier and I was more or less than that”, Azim said.
“It’s all good. Obviously I don’t want to be naked in front of everyone”.
At Wembley Arena, the two fighters will battle for the IBO title.
Azim, 22, is unbeaten in 12 fights and is looking to step up to world title level in 2025.
