Ashley Jensen, an extras actress, confirmed her engagement to Kenny Doughty when she appeared at the Scottish BAFTAs wearing a wedding band and diamond engagement ring.
The actress, who has starred in shows like EastEnders, Shetland, and Ugly Betty, appeared in love as she and her husband posed for photos on the red carpet. Love, Lies and Records, a 2017 BBC One drama series, featured the two when they first met. However, after getting closer, they began dating in 2021.
According to reports, the couple got married in August at Priston Mill, a beautiful home in Bath’s Newton Park Estate, part of the Duchy of Cornwall. The couple has described the ceremony as “emotional” and “super fun.”
The Daily Mail was told by a friend that the day “looked absolutely beautiful.” Ashley appeared incredibly joyful. It was simply idyllic because she was grinning and laughing. That room seemed to be filled with a lot of love.
Ashley, who was nominated that evening, posed for photos on the red carpet wearing a brand-new diamond ring. The blonde actress was accompanied by her husband Kenny, who was wearing a dapper-looking dark grey suit and black shoes. She was dressed in an up-do with her hair.
Ashley previously wed Terrence Beesley, a fellow actor with whom she shares Francis, 14, in 2007. Ashley was “shocked” and “unable to forget” the tragic suicide of Terence in 2017 when she returned from a date with Francis and discovered his body in the family’s Mercedes.
Beesley, who portrayed General Bennigsen in BBC One’s War and Peace and Buxton on ITV, was declared dead at the scene, despite attempts by paramedics to revive him. In 2018, Ashley previously stated to the Avon Coroner’s Court, “I was incredibly shocked by what happened that night, and I will never forget it.” Even though Terry and I had been dating for 18 years, I was unaware of his abilities.
According to a source, Ashley has “found Kenny to be an enormous support to her in the past few years.” All of their friends are ecstatic about them because they are such a lovely couple.
Prior to their divorce in 2017, Kenny, who plays DS Aiden Healy in Vera, was 11 years married to English actress Caroline Carver.
