Are Gen Z rejecting city life for farm life?

We examine why Gen Zers and Gen Zers are choosing to live in rural areas over city homes today on The Stream.

Gen Z is abandoning cities for farms in the face of burnout, &nbsp, rising rents, and a desire for a slower, more intentional life. Young people are reinventing success through self-sufficiency and sustainability, from homesteading to off-grid communities. But does rural life have its own set of challenges, or is it truly the answer? Can this movement continue despite rising land prices, social isolation, and infrastructure constraints? We’ve heard a lot about this shift from those who support it. Is rural living the secret to a more healthy, sustainable society?
