The Anambra government has destroyed a two-story Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites known as the “La Cruise Hotel” on the Onitsha-Owerri Road, which is alleged to have been a hiding place for kidnappers and other criminals.

Upon demolition, there was shocking discoveries within the facility including over 30 partitioned graves on the top floor of the two-story building, a shrine, live ammunition, and other incriminating items, according to a statement from the Anambra State New Media, shared on X late on Saturday.

The security personnel claimed that the discovery of the bust was a result of their ongoing investigation into state-wide organized crime.

At the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) office in Awkuzu, law enforcement personnel received blood-stained items and live cartridges after the operation.

In a video shared on Sunday, the team leader said: “We found a shrine, live ammunition, and cartridges while removing the pot used for their rituals.
The pot, containing blood, has been handed over to the police as evidence.

More than 30 people’s graves were well-partitioned along the hotel’s top floor. This was where they carried out their spiritual activities. “

Commenting on the strange discoveries and the demolition, the spokesman of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo, Mr. Christian Aburime, said:” The hotel was destroyed because investigations identified it as a kidnappers ‘ hideout. We discovered graves, army uniforms, live cartridges, and other items.
