A candle was lit in his honor on the 14th anniversary of Theo’s death by Amanda Holden. The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 53, was left utterly heartbroken in 2011 when her second child died in the womb.
Amanda posted a photo of a burning candle in honor of her son on Instagram on February 1st, adding, “Our beautiful boy would have been 14 today.” The TV star has previously made an open confession about her agonizing ordeal in an effort to raise awareness of stillbirths.
She admitted to Heart Radio that she was terrified to tell her 19-year-old daughter Lexi that the traumatic ordeal had caused her to go through a “surreal out-of-body experience.” At 28 weeks, the family moved our baby, Theo, into a different room so I could deliver him without the adorable babies screaming on a regular ward.
“Often that’s not thought about, it’s little things like that”. She continued, “I just remember hearing this woman yelling and screaming, and then I realized it was me.”
I was actually calling my daughter’s name because I was terrified to tell Lexi that she had been experiencing it at the time, which was the most bizarre, out-of-body experience. Amanda initially resisted holding Theo, but she eventually resisted and said goodbye.
She continued:” I held him in my arms and I said goodbye, basically. Without the incredible team that surrounds us, however, I couldn’t have accomplished it. My husband was so resilient and amazing, and they also persevered with it.
When a baby is born dead after 24 full weeks of pregnancy, is that the case? A miscarriage occurs if a baby dies before this time. Sadly, one in every 250 pregnancies in England result in stillbirths, NHS data suggests.
While these deaths are often linked to placenta complications, birth defects or the mother’s health, some cases have no obvious cause”. According to the NHS, if your baby has died, you might be able to wait for labor to start naturally or have an induced labor.
” If your health is at risk, the baby may need to be delivered as soon as possible. A stillborn child is uncommonly delivered via caesarean section.

A year after losing Theo, Amanda faced another traumatic experience during the birth of her second daughter, Hollie. The TV personality was left fighting for life, requiring several blood transfusions, following a critical haemorrhage.
Thankfully, both Amanda and Hollie, now 13, pulled through. She stated on Good Morning Britain in 2020, “It is well known that Chris and I had a baby boy who was sleeping in an NHS hospital, and then I delivered Hollie, and then went into a coma.”
“So that was pretty traumatizing, and then my sister got into a car accident that she has since fully recovered from.” However, all of those events were incredibly difficult, and the NHS was there to help us every step of the way.
