Although beloved A-List stars Tom Holland and Zendaya are reportedly engaged, wedding bells may have been in the works for some time, according to eagle-eyed fans.
Since the Spider-Man movies were released in 2021, the actors have a devoted following that is obsessed with every move. As the couple put on a touching display at the Golden Globe Awards this week, the couple’s fans were not surprised when they noticed a large solitaire diamond ring on Zendaya’s left hand, which was their first time seeing.
The couple have so far kept schtum on their engagement, but Tom, 28, reportedly popped the all-important question over the festive season, with the private proposal believed to have taken place at one of Zendaya’s family homes.
However, there have been indications for some time that the stars, who first met on Spider-Man: Homecoming’s set in 2017, may have already taken their relationship further, with some hints dating back many years.
As gossip site Deuxmoi previously revealed, all the way back in 2022, Zendaya, 28, liked an Instagram post shared by her LA-based nail artist, which featured a ring uncannily similar to the one she’s now proudly sporting. After Zendaya liked the post, her adored boyfriend Tom reportedly followed Jessica McCormack, a jewelry designer, before unfollowing her once more.
A tattoo artist claimed her boyfriend had created the floral arrangements for the celeb engagement on social media after the happy news finally surfaced this week. She wrote: “I’ve been keeping this a secret for far too long… proud girlfriend moment”.
According to a source, lovestruck Tom has been considering kneeling for a while after realizing she was “the one.” They told People: “He has been wanting to propose]to Zendaya] for a while now. He’s always been crazy about her. He was certain that she was the one. They have something very special”. They added: “Everyone close to them knew the engagement was happening”.
Between Christmas and New Year, Tom proposed “in a very intimate setting in one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States,” according to TMZ. Tom reportedly asked Zendaya’s father, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, for his blessing before asking for her hand, and the proposal was said to be “romantic and not over the top”.
According to a source, Tom allegedly shared the news with his closest friends as the newlywed couple savored the new year together. They are said to be no rush to arrive at the altar and haven’t yet set a date for their special day due to the start of a busy year ahead. They are believed to be both very excited as they look forward to the future together, though.
The source continued: “Tom’s always had this sweet way of letting the world know that Zendaya is his. Now, it’s official — she really is”!
