A Strictly Come Dancing star apologized for making an inappropriate sexual remark about a fellow dancer while on a BBC live tour.

Wynne Evans used sexual language that appeared to offend people at a photocall event in Birmingham to launch the tour. While Strictly travels, he appears with his dance partner Katya Jones, but BBC bosses have since reprimanded him.

The operatic TV advert star was at the photocall with the whole cast, including JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Montell Douglas, Shayne Ward and Jamie Borthwick, when he was recorded belting out: “Go Compare”, and then adding “Not too close to Jamie”.

Then, as seen in a circulating Daily Mail video, Evans used the devilish word “spit roast” to refer to the lewd sexual act while Janette, a fellow dancer, replaced him with a fellow star. The GoCompare actor smirks to himself while he is smirking at himself.

Janette joined the cast for a photo, and Evans made the comment.

The Strictly star apologised and acknowledged using inappropriate language after the video was made public. In a statement to the Mirror, Wynne Evans said: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise”.

In the wake of the incident, the BBC revealed that they had warned Evans about his behaviour. Strictly Live Tour and BBC Studios spokesman said, “We had not previously received any complaints from us.” We have made it very clear to Wynne that we will not tolerate such conduct on the tour.

This is in response to the uproar the GoCompare advert actor caused while posing on Strictly with his professional dance partner Katya, whom some viewers perceived as a grope. She could be seen brushed his hand away as they stood in front of the cameras during the incident.

Some viewers were unsure, which led Katya speaking up on It Takes Two, despite Wynne and Katya refuting the accusations as “silly inside jokes.” She said: “Sorry Fleur]East], sorry, I will get onto dancing I promise but can I please first get something out of the way that I feel like overshadowed our performance for absolutely no reason and quite frankly, actually, I can’t bare sitting here watching this man]Wynne] being portrayed as someone he’s not.

It’s impossible to tell the difference between this incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night because it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke? Yes! Was it a bad joke? Yes! Wynne said, “Yeah, and I’ve watched it back, I can see how people might have misinterpret it,” at this point.

Katya went on:” Yeah but however, it was a joke and even the idea that it made me feel ‘ uncomfortable ‘ or ‘ offended ‘ in anyway is total nonsense. Those that have doubts, you guys have it got wrong! Thus, it’s likely that this will be the end. You]Wynne] just keep making me smile, please! “
