90s icons 5ive reveal clever way they kept reunion secret and ending feuds

Officially, it’s time for the 90s boyband to make a comeback.
5ive – one of the UK’s biggest pop groups of the late 90s and early 2000s – have announced their reunion, and for the first time in over two decades, all five original members will be performing together.
Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville, Sean Conlon, Abz Love, and Jason “J” Brown are hitting the road for a 12-date arena tour across the UK, bringing all their classic hits to fans who have been waiting 25 years for this moment. The band revealed the extraordinary measures they went to to keep the project under wraps at a press conference to announce their reunion.
Scott acknowledged that they had been arranging meetings with AirBnBs secretly for more than a year and a half to avoid being discovered. “The second we saw each other, it was magical”, he said. “It sounds cliché, but we sat there and just went, ‘ Wow, this is incredible. ‘”
Ritchie, 45, reflecting on the moment, said, “It has been more emotional than I thought. It has been so long since the five of us have done this together, and it brings back memories”. When they reunited, Abz, 45, added that all the old angs and petty disagreements were unlocked right away. It seemed as though none of it mattered in the first second that we were together. This is beyond my wildest dreams, and we are so grateful for this opportunity”.
With 12 arena shows lined up, the band promises that fans won’t be disappointed. “We might be older, but don’t expect to see five old people on stage not bringing it”, Jason, 48, joked.

“Our intention is to not do backflips, but the amount of energy we’re going to bring is actually kind of embarrassing”! Abz, always the joker, added, “Might have an oxygen tank and a sick bucket by the side of the stage just in case”!
The group acknowledged that being thrust into the limelight at such a young age was both a dream and a struggle when speaking exclusively to The Mirror about their time as one of the UK’s biggest boybands. “Before, we were just kids, and it was hard because we didn’t fully understand each other’s situations”, Ritchie said. “Now, we really care, and we lift each other up”.
Scott, 45, had some words of wisdom for aspiring young musicians. Look after each other if you are joining a band. That’s what we are trying to do now. Try not to hold all these things in because that’s when you’ll explode”.

Abz, never one to hold back, joked, “Or don’t”!
For now, fans can look forward to seeing 5ive back where they belong – on stage, together again, bringing the nostalgia, the hits, and the energy (just maybe with an oxygen tank nearby).
