Yakubu Dogara, a former House of Representatives speaker, thinks the African Democratic Congress (ADC) hasn’t yet offered solutions to Federal Government reforms.
Before the 2027 general elections, Dogara, a leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), asserts that it won’t be taken seriously until the opposition party offers alternatives.
“I haven’t heard the people-centered discussion.” I only occasionally get angry about one or two things. What cause or reason are they adamant? On Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, the former speaker said, “I have yet to see that.”  ,
We can’t take them seriously until they provide alternatives to what the President is doing and we evaluate them critically to determine whether they are better than what we are. Everyone is aware that all else is just gimmicks that will lead to nowhere.

Prior to the 2027 general elections, the opposition coalition used the ADC as its platform in July 2025.
Some of the ADC coalition’s members included former vice president Atiku Abubakar, former president Peter Obi, former ministers Rotimi Amaechi and Rauf Aregbesola, former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, and former senator David Mark, among others.
In response to the country’s rising levels of poverty and economic hardship, the party has pledged to remove the APC from power in the coming year.
Dogara advises coalition members to use other forms of rhetoric.
He responded, “That’s the conversation I hear.”
No “Magical Wand!”
The former lawmaker urged Nigerians to accept the administration’s reforms under President Tinubu’s leadership.
Even if there are no signs of it, I believe we are on the right path. How long did it take us to get to the point where President Tinubu took over when we talked about the security issues?
